 The President of the Institute, who is the legaland legitimate representative of the institute in the authorities, is appointed from among the faculty members for 4 years   by the recommendation   of the Board of Trustees, approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and with the order and rule given by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

His re-appointment and recommendation ispermitted with the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

 Dr. Seyyed Mahdi Quraishi is the active head of the institute.

The duties and authorities of the University President are:

  1. Supervising the implementation of educational, research, cultural, student, administrative and constructionand faculty affairs and services and all internal and international relations of the university and coordination of the various units and answering to the competent authorities.
  2. Assigning the university’s executiveapproach in the form of scientific, educational and research policies.
  3. Conducting cultural, educational, research, administrative, construction activitiesof the university.
  4. Submitting anannual report to the Board of Trustees.
  5. Supervising the implementation of current activities of the university and tracking theerrors and possible violations and referring themto the competent authorities.
  6. Financial and administrative responsibility   according to the approved regulations of the University.
  7. Appointment and dismissal of Executive Board members (with respect to clauses1 and2 of Article4) and deans and directors of institutes and related unitsand the managers of the educational groups.
  8. Implementation of legislation and regulations  and circulars issued by the Ministry
  9. Developing andrecommending policies, objectives and approaches for proposalto the Board of Trustees.
  10. Proposing suggestions about establishing, developing, and dissolutionor merging of the units to the university council.
  11. Proposing suggestions about collaboration with other educational institutions or internal and external research institutes to the university council.
  12. Legalrepresentativeofthe university at the competentauthorities.
  13. Supervision of the university disciplinary affairs (faculty - students - staff) in the framework of rules and regulations.
